The Central University of Kerala (CUK), Kasaragod, came into being in 2009 under the Central University Act 2009. The University opened its academic portals in October 2009 with 17 students enrolled in two PG programs and operated from a rented building at Nayanmarmoola (Vidyanagar) in Kasaragod town. The CUK is committed to providing instructional and research facilities in all suitable and relevant branches of learning. Special provisions shall be made for integrated Humanities, Social Sciences, Science, and Technology courses in our academic programs. The University's activities will be planned to improve people's social and economic conditions by developing their intellectual, academic, and cultural resources.

The Central University of Kerala has grown into an institution offering 27 Postgraduate programs and 22 Ph.D. programs with a total enrolment of around 2500 students. In addition to headquarters located at Periya, the University has a Law department located at Thiruvalla in Pathanamthitta and a B.A. program in International Relations is offered at Trivandrum Centre. It offers PG and Ph.D. courses in the fields of Arts, Commerce, Science, Technology, International Relations, Social Work, Education, Law, Public Health, Management, Tourism, and Travel. A B.Sc. Geology / B.Sc. Geology and Water Management/B.Sc. (Hons.) Geology with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the concerned subject separately, from a recognized University (studied in 10+2+3 system). B.Sc. triple main program with Geology as one of the main/core / major subjects Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. B.Sc. A triple-main program with Geology as one of the main/major/core subjects is also eligible. However, Geology should have equal or more weightage with respect to the other two main subjects. The student must have studied Geology in all three years of B.Sc. Program. The B.Sc. triple main program with Ceology as a subsidiary/ minor subject or having less weightage compared to the other two main subjects is not eligible. The candidates should not have completed 25 years of age.

Mathematics

Candidates require a B.Sc. in Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the optional (main and subsidiaries-separately) subjects from a recognized University (studied in 10+2+3 system). Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. The candidates should not have completed 25 years of age.

Candidates with a B.Sc. in Botany / Plant Science or any subject under Life Sciences with Botany/Plant Science as a Major/ Core /Equal Optional subject with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the concerned subject separately, from a recognized University. Candidates with a B.Sc. Physics with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade in aggregate and also in the concerned subject separately, from a recognized university ( studied in the 10+2+3 system). Yoga Therapy

Any Bachelor's Degree (studied in 10+2+3 system) in any discipline with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized University. Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. There is no upper age limit.

Master of Law (LLM) Program 2-Years (4 Semesters)

All candidates have a three-year five-year regular L.L.B. Degree from a recognized University (studied in
10+2+3+3/10+2+5 system) with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade points in the aggregate. Up to 5%relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. The upper age limit for admission to a Postgraduate Program in Law is 32 years on the first day of July in the year of admission for General category candidates and 35 years for those in the Reserved category candidates.

Master of Public Health (MPH) Program 2-Years (4 Semesters)

A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with not less than 50% of marks or equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized University. Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. The admission will be based on (a) 80% marks scored in CUET (b) Group Discussion (c) interview (weightage of 10% each totaling 20%). For standardization, the mean score of the current year's entrance examination would be considered. There is no upper age limit.

MBA

Tourism and Travel Management

Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree (studied in 10+2+3 system) in any discipline with not less than 50% marks or equivalent grade in aggregate from a recognized University. Up to 5% relaxation in the minimum requirement of marks is granted to SC/ST candidates. The admission will be based on a CUET. There is no upper age limit.
