Founded in 1975, Bundelkhand University (BU) is a public state university located in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Additionally, it has an NAAC 'B++' grade accreditation and is recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC).

Engineering, business, law, pharmacy, the sciences, the arts, and agriculture are just a few of the subjects in which the university offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate studies. Spread over 186 acres, BU’s campus supports both academic and residential facilities. The Pharmacy department is the only stream to receive an NIRF rank in 2024, ranking 74th nationally.

For entrance-based courses, applications are open from April 22 to July 10, with a late fee window from July 12 to 15. The entrance exam will be held on July 27, and results are expected by July 31. Merit-based programs are accepting applications from April 22 to June 30.

Cutoffs for Bundelkhand University in 2024 are determined by entrance tests and prior academic performance. For the MBA, cutoff marks hovered around 60% for entrance-based admissions. Final selection cutoffs are released after exams and counseling, and these vary every year depending on the number of applicants and seats available.

Data from 2023 reveals placement trends across various departments, even though the official 2025 placement report is still due. With a median package of ₹5.89 LPA, the B.Tech stream saw a 23% increase from 2022. MBA students received a median package of ₹8.28 LPA. Both B.Tech and MBA streams reported 100% placement in 2023. The placement rate for other departments was around 20–30%.

Major recruiters in recent years included TCS, HCL, IBM, Microsoft, Axis Bank, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, Amazon, Eureka Forbes, DCM Shriram, NCL Industries, Edubridge India, and Singsys.

In the NIRF 2024 rankings, only the Pharmacy department secured a position, ranking 74th. Other departments did not appear in national rankings. While this shows strength in the pharmacy field, it also points out the limited recognition of other academic areas at the national level.

Scholarships are provided to eligible students under government schemes such as:
