Birla Institute of Science & Technology, Goa commenced its establishment in the academic year of 2004. BITS Goa is one of the four campuses of BITS Pilani and it is solemnly run by Aditya Birla Group. The institute is one of the premier institutions in India and widely known for its contribution in the field of education. The institute has been recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited with grade ‘A' by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The main objective of the institute is to provide higher education in the field of Science & Technology. BITS Goa offers various courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level. Admission to these courses depends on candidates' performance in the respective entrance examinations or last qualifying examination.

Other Aspects of BITS Goa

The campus of the institute has given a state-of-art touch to the infrastructure of the entire institute. The various aspects that the students are provided with are Boys' and Girls' Hostels, Guest House, Medical Center, Playground, Shopping Complex, Administrative Blocks, Classrooms, Library, and Seminar Hall.

• Since the institute is fully residential, the campus has fully separated boys' and girls' hostels in which the students are provided with single room accommodation. Each room in the hostel is provided with an internet connection known as Project BITS connect.
• The shopping complex of the institute houses the departmental store, cafeteria, bank, and many more utility shops. This does provide needful support to the campus inmates.
• The medical center of the institute has been equipped with basic medical facilities. The center has two doctors, a pharmacist, and other support staff.

The faculty members of the institute are well educated and happen to possess good experience in their respective fields. The members are highly qualified, and they use most proficient techniques to make learning easier.

Courses offered by BITS Goa

BITS Goa Courses include various programs offered at the undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level. The institute offers B. E. and Integrated M. Sc program ate the undergraduate level and M. E. and M. Sc program at the postgraduate level. It also offers Ph. D. program at the doctorate level.

The admission procedure of BITS Goa can be achieved online by visiting the official website of the institute. Candidates seeking admission must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the institute. BITS Goa Admission requires qualifying of the entrance examination conducted at the national level.

• Candidates seeking admission to B. E. and Integrated M. Sc program are required to qualify BITSAT entrance examination followed by group discussion and personal interview round conducted by the institute.
• BITS Hyderabad Cut Off plays a major role during the admission procedure.
• For admission to M. E., the candidates must possess a valid score in GATE or online entrance test conducted by the institute followed by group discussion and personal interview round.

The placement and training cell of the institute is quite active and strives hard to bring several national and multinational companies. BITS Goa Placement has been improving since last few years. The students are motivated to involve in various activities conducted by the placement cell.
