AMC Engineering College was established in the year 1999 by the Paramahamsa Foundation Trust and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) and approved of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). AMCEC courses include the degree in the field of Engineering, Management and IT through its undergraduate and postgraduate programme.
AMCEC Admissions:
Being one of the popular colleges among students, admission in AMC Engineering College is a multiple step process and candidates along with required qualification candidate also need to have valid score in entrance examination of respective programme. Some of the key highlights of AMC Engineering College Admissions are:
- AMCEC application process is online and available on the online application portal of the website.
- For admission in any of the Bachelor of Engineering (BE) stream candidate needs to have completed 10+2.
- Seats in B.E. Programme is allocated on basis of JEE Main or KCET score.
- For admission in MBA and MCA courses candidate needs to have a graduation degree in the respective subjects.
- Other than having graduation degree for admission in MBA and MCA courses candidate needs to qualify national and state level management entrance examination like CAT/XAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT
- For admission in M.Tech Programme, the candidate needs to have B.Tech degree in the relevant field and also a valid score in GATE or K-PGCET.
- For candidates applying through the reserved category of Karnataka State, there is a provision of fee concession of up to 50%.

B. Tech Admission at AMCEC:
AMCEC offers 4 years bachelor’s degree in the field of Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Information Science, Electrical and Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. For admission in the mentioned courses candidate needs to fulfill the following criteria:
- Candidate needs to have qualified 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subject along with Chemistry/biology/biotechnology/computer science as one of the optional subjects.
- Candidates will be selected on basis of score in JEE Main or KCET followed by counseling.
- Candidates having diploma degree with minimum 45% marks are also eligible to apply.

M.Tech Admission at AMCEC:
The Institute offers 2-year M. Tech degree affiliated to VTU and approved of AICTE. For admission in the course candidate needs to fulfill the following criteria:
- Candidate needs to have B.E or B.Tech Degree in the relevant field with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for candidates applying through reserved category)

MBA and MCA Admission at ACMEC:
For admission in MBA or MCA course at AMCEC candidate needs to have a graduation degree with an aggregate of 50% marks.
- For admission in MCA, course candidate should have a Mathematics or Statistics/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Business Mathematics/ Business Statistics/ Computer Programming as a mandatory subject in either 10+2 or graduation.
- Candidates having valid CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA or CMAT score are exempted of KMAT and will also get preference.
- AMC Engineering College also offers Integrated MBA-PGPEM course in association with iDream and for admission on the same candidate needs to have a valid CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA or CMAT Score.
- Candidates can also apply for lateral entry to MBA in AMCEC if have a graduation degree (BCA/B.Sc.) with an aggregate of 50%.

Must know about Amc engineering college before taking admission 2/5
Infrastructure of the college is one of the worst i have ever seen. Toilets are never clean(at least men’s) until recently there were no dustbin in entire college, even now there ever few dustbins.there are no fans in classrooms and here few things which you should before getting admitted in our college 1)No WiFi,in few places you won’t be getting mobile network also 2)The big ground you see when you enter our college where you will never be allowed to play, doesn’t belongs to our college, it belongs KCA 3)There is no gym which claim to have in their website 4)The big library you see in our website probably even in our brochures is still under construction from past 6 years and will remain so for coming 6 years 5)Don’t be shocked if u see dogs, people from localities behind our enter roam around the campus as quarter of our campus wall doesn’t exist

I am 2007 passout in Computer Science. Faculties are below average but you would have enough freedom to study at home without any shortage of attendance if you have good repo with your lecturers. You will feel like college in AMC not like school.. Best of Luck
