A.K. Chanda Law College was established in 1960. It is one of the oldest Law colleges in Assam, located in Tarapur, Silchar, Cachar, Assam. It is approved by Academic Council and Executive Council. It is affiliated with Assam University, Silchar which is a central university.
The college offers an LLB program of 3 years. Admission is based on the merit marks. Candidates have to visit the college for admission. Many students became lawyers and Judges from this college. Besides teaching and learning, this college also offers free legal services to the needy and poor. They also have Moot court and Legal Aid.
