Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering (AMSCE) was established in the academic year of 1990. It was founded by Alhaj. Dr. S. M. Shaik Nurddin. It is located at Avadi (Chennai), Tamil Nadu. Formerly this college was affiliated to University of Madras, now it is affiliated to Anna University and is also approved by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is also approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and has been given ISO 9000:2008 Certification. The main aim of the college is to strengthen the youth with knowledge and training. This university was constructed to impart education to the different section of students. The National Board of Accreditation (NBA) of AICTE has accredited the following branches in just 11 years of inception.

While considering the infrastructure of AMSCE, it does provide a large and spacious campus with most of the facilities built in it. There are laboratories, playground, library, hostels, cafeteria, health care and auditorium. The laboratories are well equipped; CAD/CAM laboratory in the mechanical engineering department is the most expensive lab. The Hostels are quite clean and do provide a healthy environment to the students living in it. The classrooms are well furnished and tidy. The library is the most important aspect of this college. The book shelves are filled with recent and informative books related to all the branches.
Most of the faculty members are experienced and they are quite good at communicating. They are well qualified and can easily express their ideas in front of the students. Proficiency in their respective subjects helps students to fulfill their requirements.
There are almost 10 academic departments in this college namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Master of Computer Application, Science and Humanities and Physical Education.

Scholarship is also awarded by the Government of Tamil Nadu for BC/SC/ST students. Minority scholarships are awarded by Ministry of Minority affairs. Students of 1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year and 4th year are eligible.
