WBJEE Counselling Guide
After completing the WBJEE examination, the main task that students have to prepare for is the WBJEE counselling process. The counselling process after the WBJEE examination is what helps students get into the colleges of their choice. It is very important for students to be updated on all important dates of the WBJEE counselling process, so they do not miss out on any key events.
The counselling process for WBJEE goes as follows:
Registration
Firstly, students will have to sign up and register for the WBJEE counselling process. This registration process will have to be done through the official WBJEE website. While registering, students must make sure that the details submitted are accurate and up to date. Students will not be able to register for the WBJEE counselling process after the date has passed.
Payment of Fees
After completing the formalities of registration, students will be required to pay the WBJEE counselling fees. Students can only pay for the fee in the online mode such as UPI, credit card, debit or any other form of online banking.
Choice-Filling
After completing the previous formalities, students will have to fill-in their choice of colleges and courses for the WBJEE 2025 counselling process. Students will be required to make their choices and lock them in in order of their overall preference. It is recommended students take printouts of their choices for future reference.
It is important for students to note that after the final date, no changes for their filled-in choices will be able to be made.
Seat Allotment
Upon the completion of the choice-filling process, the seat allotment of colleges will begin. This is the process where students are allotted colleges of their choice. There are 2 main rounds of seat allotment that take place. If students do not secure a good seat during these rounds, they may apply for the mop-up round of seat allotment. The mop round of seat allotment takes place after the main rounds have finished.
Students who are allotted seats in the counselling process will be sent letters confirming their allotment. It is important for students to note that they can also check out their allotment status on the official WBJEE website.
Verification of Documents
After being allotted seats, students will be required to submit several important documents at their respective institutes or centres. Some of these important documents include:
- WBJEE 2025 Results
- WBJEE 2025 Allotment Letter
- Class 10th Marksheet
- Confirmation Page of WBJEE 2025
- Class 10th Admit Card or equivalent
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Domicile Certificate (if applicable)
- Physically Challenged Certificate for PwD students.
After submitting the important documents, students will have to begin their preparation for the first semester of the college of their choice.
