The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation has launched the Vidyadhan Portal to help students from low-income families access education. Each chosen student from the different states will receive a two-year scholarship, allowing them to pursue a degree. Who is Eligible for the Scholarship Program?

Exam | To be eligible, you should have completed your Class 10 or SSLC exam in Tamil Nadu in 2025. |
Marks obtained | You need to have scored at least 90% or gotten a 9 CGPA in that exam. |
Family's Total Yearly Income | Also, your family's total yearly income should be under ₹2,00,000 from all sources. |
Cut-off mark for students with disabilities | The cut-off mark for students with disabilities is 60%. |
Documents You Need to Submit
- A photo of yourself
- A scanned copy of your Class 10 marksheet
- A scanned copy of your income certificate from a valid authority (no ration cards allowed)
Just so you know, if you don't have your original marksheet, you can upload a provisional or online version from the SSLC, CBSE, or ICSE website.

- First, hit the 'Register' button and fill in the details they ask for. If you’ve already signed up, just log in with your Gmail, phone number, or email.
- Next, scroll down to find the 'Apply Now' button and click on it. After that, hit 'Register' to kick off your application.
- Keep an eye out for an email from Vidhyadhan to confirm your registration. Once you receive it, log in using your registered email and password.
- For full instructions on applying, click the ‘Help’ link in your Vidyadhan account. Then, click the ‘Application’ button to start a new application.
- Make sure you fill in all the required details, upload the necessary documents, and submit everything.
- Just a heads up, you need to upload all the required documents and a photo for your application to be complete.
Selection Criteria
The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) will pick applicants based on their academic performance and details from their applications. Those selected will be invited for a brief online test or interview.
