The Vidyadhan Plus 2 (1st Year) Scholarship Odisha 2025 is an initiative established by Sarojini Damodaran Foundation to primarily help meritorious students with family background from the underprivileged section of society, to pursue higher secondary education after successful completion of the education Class 10. This initiative hopes to reduce the gap between talent and opportunity by bridging the financial gap in access to higher secondary education for students. Students who are aspiring to pursue Plus 2 after completion of Class 10 in 2025 and have shown strong academic performance can apply for the scholarship. The selected scholars will receive ₹10,000 per annum in financial support.
Eligibility Criteria
To ensure that the scholarship funds the most deserving students, the foundation has developed specific eligibility criteria. As an applicant, you must meet all of the requirements listed to be eligible for selection.
- Must be a resident of Odisha
- Must have passed Class 10/SSC in 2025
- Must have obtained 75% marks or 7.5 CGPA in Class 10
- Students with disabilities must obtain 65% marks or 6.5 CGPA
- Applicants annual family income must be less than ₹2,00,000/-
- Must be planning to study intermediate/+2 in a recognized institution offering +2 education.

- Annual ₹10,000 scholarships will cover tuition and academic expenses.

- Mentorship sessions and skills development sessions will be offered by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation.
- Networking opportunities will be included with others who are Vidyadhan scholars or alumni across Canada.
- Being a Vidyhan Scholar will be recognized to support academic and career credibility.
Documents Required
Applicants need to upload clear and valid documents for identification, educational qualification, and income verification. If the documents are incomplete or wrong, the result will be rejection.
- Recent passport size photo of the applicant
- Class 10/SSC marksheet issued by the board in the year 2025
- Income certificate issued by a competent authority (a ration card cannot be accepted)
- Aadhaar card or any government identity
- Domicile certificate or proof of residence in Odisha
- Bonafide certificate or proof of admission from the intermediate/+2 institution (when applicable)

Selection Guidelines
The selection process is merit-based with several stages exploring academic performance, financial necessity and on-going potential, with only shortlisted candidates advancing to the next stage.
- Academic performance demonstrated in Class 10 (minimum of 75% or 7.5 CGPA)
- Family income confirmation to substantiate that there is a financial need
- Document verification and application completion
- Online test for shortlisted candidates
- Interview to define motivation, communication, and future-aspirations
- Final selection by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation on overall merit- based on all selections above.
