The Uttar Pradesh NEET 2022 Counselling widely known as UP NEET Counselling 2022 is conducted by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET) Uttar Pradesh. UPDGME UG Counselling is conducted for admission to the medical seats under the 85% State Quota Seats. There will be three rounds in UP NEET 2022 Counselling and the third round would be an open or mop up round. After the first round of UP NEET Counselling is successfully concluded, the remaining vacant medical seats will be carried forward to the second round of UP NEET 2022 Counselling. The still vacant and remaining seats will be filled in the third round which is known as the mop up round. The mop up round will fill seats that remained vacant after the second round is concluded successfully.

Candidates who qualify the NEET Exam and willing to participate in the UPNEET Counselling 2022 must note that the admission top MBBS or BDS program offered by the Medical Colleges in Uttar Pradesh is done based on NEET Score along with the NEET Cutoff. There are two stages of UP NEET Counselling i.e. Registration and Security Money Deposit. In order to participate in NEET Uttar Pradesh Counselling, candidates must first register themselves for the process and then make the payment of security money. Step 1 – Registration

Qualified candidates who wish to participate in the UPNEET Counselling 2022 must register themselves by visiting the official website of upneet i.e. https://upneet.gov.in. Some of the important points are:

Candidates must register only once for the UP NEET 2022 Counselling process.
No other registration should be done for the other two rounds of the counselling.
For successful registration, candidates must also process the payment of INR 2000 as counselling registration fee. This registration fee can be paid via any online mode such as Credit Card/Debit Card/ NET Banking.

Step 2 – Payment of Security Money

Security Money – After the successful completion of registration process, candidates will have to pay the security deposit or security money. This security money is refundable. Candidates can make the payment of security money via Demand Draft drawn in favour of “Director General, Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh” payable at Lucknow. The amount of security money will differ as per candidates' preference applying for private and government medical colleges. It will also differ in case candidates are applying for dental courses. Step 3 – Verification of Documents

After the successful completion of Registration and Payment of Security Money, candidates applying for admission must report to the nodal centres for the Verification of Documents. In case any candidate fails to do so in the given time period, they might lose their chance of admission and their seat will be given to another candidate. After the successful verification of the documents, candidates will be able to move forward to the next stage of UP NEET Counselling.

Step 4 – Choice Filling and Seat Locking

After all the documents are verified, candidates must log in on the official website of UP MBBS Counselling and mark their preference of colleges in order. The most preferred college must be chosen first and given priority. Below mentioned is the step-by-step procedure of choice filling and seat locking in the UP NEET 2022 Counselling:

Login – Log in using the NEET Roll Number and Password. While logging in, candidates will receive and OTP on their registered mobile number.
Choice Filling – Choose the preferred medical colleges as per your preference from the list of colleges displayed on the screen. Candidates must check all the college related information such as fee structure. Save the colleges selected.
Lock the Options – Lock the choices made by you and submit them before the deadline arrives. Those who fail to submit their final choices will not be considered for NEET Uttar Pradesh Counselling 2022.
List of Seat Allotment – After the preference of candidates submitted, DMET will review and go through all the applications and form and release the merit list or seat allotment list for candidates who have applied for the admission.
Reporting to the College Allotted – Candidates who are happy with the seat allotment process and wish to continue with the seat allotted to them during the UPNEET Counselling 2022 must report to the college allotted to them. They must also report to the college before the last date arrives. They must also carry their documents.
