Top 7 Mistakes to Avoid on TS EAMCET 2025 Exam Day

The TS EAMCET 2025 (Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical Common Entrance Test) is a prime doorway for students who wish to pursue colleges of excellence in Telangana. After spending months rehearsing, it's vital not to trip up on test day because of preventable errors. Below are the top 7 student mistakes — and how you can avoid them.

  1. Arriving Late at the Exam Center:

          Why It Happens:

  • Understanding traffic or travel time
  • Misreading traffic or travel time
  • Getting confused about the centers location

        Why its a problem:

  •  If you reach the exam centre a few minutes late, you might be denied entry. Even if you are allowed in , reaching a panicked state will make you nervous and anxious, spoiling your performance.

How to Avoid It:

  • Visit the exam center one day ahead of time to confirm the route and travel time.
  • Leave early on the test day, giving plenty of cushioning for any unexpected delays.
  • Check reporting time very carefully and report to the center at least 60–90 minutes early.

Tip: Better to wait at the center than risk being late!

  1.  Forgetting Important Documents:

Why This Is a Big Deal:

Arrive on exam day without your admit card or with an invalid photo ID, forget about it, full stop.

How You Can Avoid the Disaster:

  • Pack all necessary documents a day in advance of the paper.
  • Check before going out
  • Bring duplicate pen and an extra photocopy of the Admit Card

Tip: Bring extra passport size photographs too, just in case also.

  1. Ignoring Instructions:

Why It Happens:

  • Anxiety leads to students missing important announcements.
  • Certain students are too quick to start the exam.

Why It's a Problem:

  • You might use the incorrect pen or place the OMR incorrectly.
  • You could be disqualified if you have prohibited items.

How to Avoid It:

  • Listen attentively to all instructions given by invigilators.
  • Read the instructions printed on the question paper and OMR sheet.
  • Strictly adhere to rules like using a black ballpoint pen and not folding or damaging your OMR sheet.

Items not allowed:

  • Mobile phones
  • Smartwatches
  • Calculators
  • Notes or pieces of paper
  • Any electronic item

Tip: Keep only necessities in a clear pouch or bag.

  1. Poor Time Management

Why It Happens:

  • Wasting too much time on tough questions
  • Not managing time well during the exam

Why It's a Problem:

  • You might not get sufficient time to attempt all the questions, and easy one could remain unattempted

How to Avoid It:

  • Start with attempting easy questions first.
  • If a question seems tough, skip and attempt it later.
  • Check the time every 30 minutes.
  • Utilize the last 20–30 minutes for rechecking and revising answers.

Suggested Timing for 3-hour Exam:

  1. Skipping Breakfast or Not Taking Care of Health:

Why It Happens:

  • Anxiety leading to loss of appetite
  • Sleeping in and rushing without breakfast

Why It's a Problem:

  • Lack of energy during the test
  • Difficulty concentrating
  • Headaches, dizziness, or nausea

How to Avoid It:

  • Sleep for at least 7–8 hours last night.
  • Have a light but nutritious breakfast such as oats, bananas, or eggs.
  • Have loads of water, but limit coffee and energy drinks.

Good Breakfast Options:

  • Poha or Upma
  • Banana and peanut butter toast
  • Oats with milk and fruit
  • Boiled eggs and toast

Tip: A good breakfast revs your brain and body for a long exam.

  1.  Panicking During the Exam:

Why It Happens:

  • Coming across tough questions early
  • Panic at running out of time

Why It's a Problem:

  • Panic wastes time.
  • You can go wrong in even simple questions.

How to Avoid It:

  • Stay cool and calm even if you encounter some difficult questions.
  • Tell yourself that all questions do not necessarily have to be answered well.
  • Relax by taking some deep breaths if you are on edge.
  • Concentrate on one question at a time.

Tip: Calmness and confidence are equally as important as knowledge.

  1.  Not Checking Answers Before Submitting:

Why It Happens:

  • Overconfidence after finishing early
  • Feeling exhausted and wanting to submit immediately

Why It's a Problem:

  • You might overlook stupid errors.
  • You might have marked incorrect bubbles on the OMR sheet or selected incorrect options online.

How to Avoid It:

  • Leave at least 20–30 minutes to go through all your answers.
  • Cross-check all the marked answers.
  • Ensure that you have marked all bubbles correctly and darkly (in case of offline exam).
  • In the online exam, save all the answers carefully before submitting.

Tip: At times a single small correction can save or earn you 1–2 marks, which are very    significant.

Final Tips for TS EAMCET 2025 Success

  • Begin your day early.
  • Be relaxed and confident.
  • Be positive — believe in your preparation!
  • Read each question with care before you answer.
  • Use your time wisely.
  • Read instructions without fail.

Keep in mind: On exam day, strategy and composure are as important as knowledge.

Avoid these 7 errors, and you will be giving yourself the best opportunity to succeed in TS EAMCET 2025.
