Parul University Celebrates Innovation and Youthful Energy at Gujarat’s Largest Tech Fest: Projections 2026

Vadodara-based Parul University hosted its 22nd annual tech fest, Projections 2026, which took place under the dynamic theme ‘Mission Ctrl’. The festival created an energetic atmosphere which attracted young engineers, creators and tech enthusiasts from all over the country to participate in a fun technology event which featured competitive challenges and hands-on learning activities.

Projections 2026 attracted more than 20,000 participants across 140+ colleges and schools, across more than 9 states and 45 cities, including Ahmedabad, Ajmer, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Mount Abu, Kota and Surat, to create a vibrant energy of brainstorming ideas, competition and teamwork. The massive attendance indicated the growing reach of the fest and reiterated the status of the fest as the biggest tech fest in Gujarat.

Inspired by advanced command centres, precision systems and next-generation control technologies, 'Mission Ctrl' was a blend of 50+ technical events and 20+ workshops, along with guest lectures by renowned personalities in the industry. Cyber Security, AI & ML and Graphic Design workshops were full of enthusiastic participants who participated in hands-on learning activities. Robotics and high-intensity technical competition provided more of a challenge to the teams, as teams needed to think strategically and show their ability to perform under pressure.

The highlight of the fest was its special attractions, which included Paintball, Aqua Smashdown, Bid Bonanza and the active gaming area at Gameopedia, together with interactive experience zones, flea markets and various food stalls. The festival atmosphere reached new heights through electrifying concert nights, which united participants and visitors to celebrate innovation and creativity and cultural traditions.

Demonstrating a strong sense of responsibility and student leadership, the entire fest was organised, managed, and conducted by the students, thus showing high potential in teamwork, planning, and execution of the students of the university. Highlighting a gesture of gratitude towards the nation since ₹50,000 from the fest’s funds was donated to the National Defence Fund.

Two participants from IIT Bombay, Ayush Sharma and Devangi Chaudhuri, who participated in one of the technical events, AIRBUZZ, expressed their gratitude for participating in this esteemed fest. Ayush Sharma said, “Projections provided us with an incredibly competitive and collaborative environment wherein at AIRBUZZ we could test our ideas and skills with young minds across India. The level of organisation and innovation exhibited during this fest was truly commendable.” Devangi Chaudhuri said, “It has been a rewarding experience to be a part of Projections 2026. The event design and the campus environment gave us a venue for learning, creativity, and constructive engagement.”

The event was graced by Chief Guest Captain (IN) Uday Sondhi, whose presence added a sense of inspiration and purpose to the gathering. He spoke to the students about establishing a mission-driven approach, which would help them understand how innovation, discipline and leadership skills will help develop their future career paths.

Speaking about the event, Dr. Devanshu Patel, President, Parul University, said, “Projections has always been a creative space for young minds to work on their experimental and innovative endeavours while testing their limits beyond their academic studies. The increasing number of students who come from different states to work together and compete shows our success in developing an innovative culture. Through Projections, we provide students with the confidence and skills they need to build their future technological expertise.”

Projections 2026 was a reflection of the collective enthusiasm of the students and the organisers, as they sought to create a dynamic platform that spoke to the fusion of technology with creativity and ambition. The university continues to commit to meaningful innovation and the development of a forward-thinking learning platform.
