Parul University Brings Together 70+ Global Academic Leaders from 22+ Countries at International Week 2026
Vadodara-based Parul University took another step to expand its global academic footprint by hosting International Week 2026 through its Centre for International Relations & Research (CIRR). The week-long engagement brought together 70+ international delegates from more than 22 countries, representing universities, polytechnics, government bodies, and education organizations across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Oceania.
International Week 2026 was designed as a comprehensive internationalization framework, integrating six flagship global programs that collectively focused on academics, research, sustainability, mobility, faculty development, and institutional partnerships, with selective cultural engagement to enhance global understanding.
This year’s International Week witnessed participation from Canada, USA, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Ireland, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, UAE, New Zealand, Australia, China, Vietnam, Jamaica, Russia, and many other countries, which made it one of the most geographically diverse international academic congregations ever hosted by Parul University. It had partner and non-partner institutions, academicians and non-academicians, integrated academic sessions, exhibitions, artifact displays, institutional processions, sustainability programs like tree plantation drives, mental health talks, and structured intercourse with value-added departments of Parul University such as SCOPE, OIA, and academic units. The senior management officials held active interaction with the international delegations through focused academic and strategic meetings.
The delegation featured an exceptional mix of Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents (Academic), Deans, Directors, Deputy Vice Rectors for Internationalisation, Heads of Departments, Professors, and Global Engagement Leaders from globally reputed institutions such as Humber Polytechnic, Canadore College, Niagara College Canada, San Diego State University, Worcester Polytechnic Institute (USA), University of Otago, Victoria University of Wellington, Massey University, Lincoln University (New Zealand), Hochschule Kaiserslautern, Hochschule Mainz (Germany), Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain), University of Pretoria – GIBS Business School (South Africa), ITMO University (Russia), Telkom University (Indonesia), Karshi State Technical University, and Renaissance Educational University (Uzbekistan), among many others.
One of the key highlights of International Week 2026 was the opening of the India-New Zealand Centre of Excellence (COE) headed by Parul University. This was the first time that a university in India partnered with faculty members across the seven universities of New Zealand to create a COE aimed at common infrastructure, research partnership, cultural exchange, and long-lasting academic cooperation other than mobility in the presence of the Head of Education New Zealand (ENZ) and senior representatives of major government universities.
The event also marked 11 years of collaboration with Humber College, Canada, upon which a 2 + 2 dual-degree articulation agreement was signed, making Parul University the first Indian university to offer such a program in collaboration with a Canadian university, which was formally launched in the presence of the vice president of Humber College together with the Faculty of Commerce.
Dr. Preeti Nair, Director of the Centre for International Relations & Research, stated, “International Week is not just an event; it is a global platform where ideas, cultures, and academic visions converge. The scale and seniority of participation this year reflect the growing global trust in Parul University as a long-term academic partner.”
Dr. Devanshu J. Patel, Hon’ble President, Parul University, added, “Our vision is to create a campus where global exposure becomes a lived experience for every student and faculty member. International Week 2026 stands as a testimony to Parul University’s commitment to global education, innovation, and meaningful international partnerships.”
The successful ending of the International Week 2026 is a milestone in the globalization journey of Parul University. The university further aims to increase cross-border collaboration, research-based interaction, and globally aligned academic practices by uniting global academic leaders, researchers, and institutions on one platform.
