On February 28, 2023, the National Institute of Design (NID) published the NID DAT 2023 Prelims Results for M.Des. To view their results, candidates may go to the official website, admissions.nid.edu, and use their Email ID and Date of Birth. The results for the B.Des program will be announced on March 30. The NID DAT 2023 Mains Result for B.Des and M.Des will be declared on May 18 and May 16, respectively. Following the results' announcement, candidates can check the NID DAT 2023 Exam Dates.
Based on the NID DAT 2023 Result, candidates can select their campus preferences for B.Des and M.Des between May 18 and 19, 2023. Seat confirmation, fee payment, and document uploading for B.Des will take place between May 25 and 26, 2023, while for M.Des, it will take place between May 16 and 19, 2023.
The National Institute of Design (NID) conducts NID DAT 2023 in two phases: NID DAT Prelims and NID DAT Mains. The institute will allocate weightage to DAT Prelims and DAT Mains, and the final selection will be made based on this weightage. Candidates can check the NID DAT 2023 Counselling process.

Candidates are required to include a scanned copy of the admit card, which should be signed by the invigilator and contain the attested seal of the exam centre, to request for re-evaluation of their NID 2023 Result. Applications without these requirements will not be accepted.
Below are the steps that candidates need to follow for requesting re-evaluation of NID result 2023 for B.Des and GDPD courses:
Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of NID to submit their re-evaluation request for NID result 2023.
Step 2: The exam authorities will not recognize any other organization or committee for the re-evaluation process, and no other organization will be allowed to disclose the answer paper contents.
Step 3: The exam authorities will re-evaluate the scores, and revise them if any errors are found.
Step 4: The authorities will contact the candidates through email if they find any legitimate errors.
Step 5: Candidates need to pay a fee of INR 2000 for re-evaluation or re-checking, which can be paid online using debit card, credit card, or net banking.

The National Institute of Design usually conducts counseling for admissions into Bachelor of Design (B.Des), GDPD, and M.Des programs during June and July. NID DAT counseling takes place after the completion of all three selection stages, which include the Design Aptitude Test (DAT), Studio Test, and Personal Interview. Admission is not guaranteed solely based on test performance or being on the rank list.
The results for NID DAT prelims are generally announced in February or March, with shortlisted candidates required to take the mains exam in May 2023. The final NID DAT Merit List is typically released in the fourth week of May 2023, followed by counselling for selected candidates based on merit.
After online document verification, provisionally selected candidates in the rank list are allocated seats. To be eligible for the next stage of NID DAT 2023 admission, qualified candidates must submit their consent online only. The process for submitting Online Consent starts around the last week of May 2023 and lasts for about a week until June 2023. During this time, the merit list is continuously updated based on online consent submitted by qualified candidates.
To verify the eligibility of the qualifying candidates as per the first Merit List, they are required to upload scanned copies of necessary documents in JPEG format, which must be issued in their name. The uploaded documents are cross-checked with the information filled in the NID DAT 2023 Application Form, and any inconsistencies could lead to the disqualification of the candidate. The following documents must be uploaded by all qualified candidates for B.Des. and M.Des. programs:
OBC NCL/SC/ST category candidates need to submit valid certificates from competent authorities in addition to the above documents. Overseas category candidates (for both B.Des. and M.Des. programs) must upload the scanned copies of the first and last pages of their passport and equivalence certificate along with the aforementioned documents.
