The complete form of NEET SS is National Eligibility and Entrance Test for Super Specialty. It is administered by the National Board of Examinations (NBE) to applicants for 2,447 Doctor of Medicine (DM) and Master of Surgery (MCh) seats at 156 institutions around India. The date for the NEET SS 2023 examination has been released. NEET SS 2023 is set by NBE for September 9 and 10, 2023.

The NEET SS Exam will be administered in two shifts, from 9:00 to 11:30 AM and 2:00 to 4:30 PM. The information bulletin for NEET SS 2023 will shortly be released by NBEMS on the official website,(natboard.edu.in).To be eligible to take the NEET SS exam, candidates must achieve a minimal cut-off %. 50 percentile is the required cutoff for qualification. The results of NEET SS  will be made available online for applicants who took the test.

What is NEET SS?

Every year, NBE conducts NEET Super Speciality (NEET SS) for candidates applying to D.M., M.Ch., and DNB SS seats. After earning their post-graduate degree in MS/MD or DNB, those who want to become doctors can enroll in NEET SS.

NEET SS: Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet the NEET SS eligibility requirements to take the entrance test. The eligibility requirements for the NEET SS in 2023 are listed below:

  • Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) or any comparable exam to participate in NEET SS.
  • Candidates may apply for NEET SS 2023 after completing their postgraduate degree. The application form will not be accepted from candidates without a degree.

NEET SS: Application Form

  • The whole application procedure, including submission, must be completed online by candidates. There is no need to mail or courier a printed version of the application form.
  • Filling out personal information, academic information, and scanning and uploading copies of a photo, a signature, and a thumbprint are all required steps in the application process for NEET SS.
  • After submitting the application form online,  NEET SS the application fee needs to be paid.
  • Application fees, which total INR 4250, can be paid online using methods like debit/credit cards and through net banking as well. 
  • Candidates must confirm that the payment process has been completed successfully because their application cannot be considered without it.
  • The application price is uniform for everyone regardless of candidate category, with no distinctions made in that regard.

NEET SS: Correction In Form

The steps for NEET SS 2023 Form Correction are as follows: 

Step 1: Go to natboard.edu.in, the official website.

Step 2: Next, select NEET SS 2023.

Step 3: Enter the login information to access your account. 

Step 4: Edit the form and submit it. 

The following information will not be subject to revision, however, all other information is subject to revision which is as follows:

  • Name of the applicant
  • Nationality 
  • Email
  • Country/City of the test.

Candidates whose NEET SS applications have been approved by the authority will receive their NEET SS 2023 admission cards. Downloading the NEET SS admit card 2023 is crucial as it must be brought by the applicant to the test center and during the counselling session.

Candidates must provide their credentials including their User ID and password that were made available when completing the NEET SS application form to receive their NEET SS admission card for 2023. NEET SS: Syllabus

There are two sections in the NEET SS 2023 exam question paper. Below are the specifics for each section:

  • The initial part of the question paper, section A, will be given 40% of the weight in terms of marks, and 60% weightage will be given to section B.
  • The questions in section A will come from a specific super-specialized course's qualifying feeder broad specialty.
  • The question in section B will come from a particular super-specialty or it will come from a collection of super-specialties that are pertinent to the eligibility requirements.

NEET SS: Results

The NEET SS 2023 results for all 32 specialties will be made available online by NBE.  Candidates must meet the NBE-established NEET SS requirements. Candidates who successfully took the NEET SS entrance exam can access the NEET SS 2023 results online and download them.

The roll number of participants, marks earned out of 400, and NEET SS rank attained in the qualifying exam are all included in the NEET SS 2023 result. The PDF of the NEET SS results needs to be downloaded for later use. The NEET SS 2023 result will be applicable for the specific admissions year. Candidates who desire to enroll in DM/MCh programs using their NEET SS scores won't be able to do so for the upcoming academic year.

NEET SS: Counselling

Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET SS 2023 counseling for admissions to 2447 DM and MCh seats. Candidates must sign up for every phase separately because there will be a total of two rounds.

Aspirants would need to submit their preferences for institutions and specializations into which they want to be admitted after registering for NEET SS counselling for each round. The seat allocation for NEET SS 2023 will be carried out based on these choices, NEET SS rank, seat availability, reservation criteria, and other variables. 

Shortlisted applicants must show up at the designated college to complete the admissions procedure and have their documentation verified once the seats are assigned. Aspirants need to obtain the NEET SS allotment letter with their personal information, reporting date, category rank, and reporting time before reporting to the colleges. 

If the individual is not satisfied with the college they were assigned, they have the option to withdraw or refuse and can then participate in later rounds of NEET SS counselling.
