The JEE Main 2024 syllabus for Physics includes majorly Class 11th and 12th Physics as directed by NTA. Topics include Physics and measurement, Kinetics, Laws of Motion, Properties of solids and Liquids, Gravitation, Thermodynamics, etc. among many others. The syllabus covers 20 units in total.
The JEE Main 2024 syllabus for Physics is divided into 2 main sections - Section A and Section B. Section A consists of the theory part, carrying 80% weightage. In contrast, Section B consists more of the practical and experimental parts and carries 20% weightage in the exam.

The chemistry syllabus for JEE Main covers widely 20 units and 2 major sections -Section A - Theory & Section B - Practical. Topics include Physics and measurement, Kinetics, Laws of Motion, Properties of solids and Liquids, Gravitation, Thermodynamics, etc. among many others.
No. The syllabus for both these exams is different. A few topics have been deleted for Mains, but they are still in the advanced syllabus. Below is the difference in the Physics syllabus: Topics not covered in JEE Advanced: Semiconductors and Communication systems, Magnetism and Matter, Diffraction, Bulk modulus and modulus of rigidity, and Polarisation Topics covered in JEE Advanced: Bohr’s Model
Communication Systems has been deleted from the JEE Main syllabus for the year 2024.
