The pattern of the question paper of JEE Advanced Exam vary every year. The changes introduced aren’t huge but there are only slight differences. Students must refer to the point below to understand the JEE Advanced Exam Pattern 2024:
Mode of Exam – JEE Advanced is an online exam which is conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.
Papers – JEE Advanced consists of two question papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. These duration of these two papers is 3 hours each and both the papers are compulsory.
Language – JEE Advanced Exam is conducted in English as well as Hindi language.

Marking Scheme – The JEE Advanced Marking Scheme varies every year. The negative marking is done based on the incorrect answers marked by candidates. Before starting to solve the paper, candidates must read the section “Instruction to Candidates” which is given with the question paper.
No. of Sections – Each paper of JEE Advanced is divided in 3 sections. These sections are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Each of the parts has 4 sections and these sections are based on the varied factors of the marking scheme. The number of sections varies every year.
