Eligibility for JTST & JBKMB 2025
General Requirements:
Must be a citizen of India and a resident of West Bengal or one of the following states:
- Assam; Arunachal Pradesh; Meghalaya; Manipur; Mizoram; Nagaland; Tripura; Sikkim; Bihar; Odisha; Jharkhand; Chhattisgarh.
Academic Qualifications:
- Passed Class 10 or equivalent on or after the previous academic year (i.e. academic year before 2025-26).
- Achieved an aggregate of at least 75% marks or equivalent GPA.
- Currently a Class 11 student (Science stream) at a recognized school in one of the eligible states.
Subject Requirements:
Students are to be studying at least three of the following subjects:
- Physics
- Chemistry
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Statistics
- Computer Science

What documents do you need - Jagadish Bose Scholarship 2025
To complete the application of JBNSTS Junior Talent or JBKMB Scholarship, students need to upload the proof of admission with their application for Class 11. Students will have to upload one of the following scanned documents as proof:
- Fees receipt or fees book issued by the school
- An official letter from the headmaster/principal of the school confirming the admission.
- School ID issued in the academic session in which the student is enrolling.
- Library membership card with the name and class of the student.
Jagadish Bose Senior Talent Scholarship 2025 - STST & SBKMB Summary
The Senior Talent Search Test (STST), a scholarship by the Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search (JBNSTS) for bright students enrolled in undergraduate programs in the Basic Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine within West Bengal, was launched in 1958 and has evolved over the years from a basic scholarship program to an extensive program that support research, innovation, and scientific development.

Domicile & Nationality
- Must be a citizen of India and domicile of West Bengal or one of the following States:
- Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Bihar, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh
Academic Requirements
- Must have passed Class 12 (Higher Secondary) or equivalent in the 2025 academic year
- Currently enrolled in 1st year of a UG course in:
- B.Sc ( Hons), Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech), or Medicine (MBBS)
- Must have studied at a recognized institution in West Bengal
Ineligible Courses: B.Sc. Pass course, Diploma, B.Sc. Nursing or students that passed 12th before 2024.
