IDFC FIRST Bank MBA Scholarship 2025-27

The IDFC FIRST Bank MBA Scholarship is a means-based financial assistance scheme initiated by IDFC FIRST Bank to support deserving candidates from economically weaker backgrounds. The scheme is aimed at making a postgraduate education in business management accessible to candidates whose family income is less than ₹6 lakh annually and have financial barriers to pursuing further studies.For the academic session 2025–27, candidates applying for IDFC FIRST Bank MBA scholarship in first year of a two years full-time programme will get ₹2 lakhs in two years (₹1 lakh each) to facilitate their education.

IDFC FIRST Bank was established in December 2018 after IDFC Bank merged with Capital FIRST. IDFC FIRST Bank offers a wide range of financial products and services to individuals, businesses and corporates in India. The MBA Scholarship Programme is one of the initiatives being part of the CSR initiative of the bank for the 2025–27.

Eligibility Criteria

The purpose of the scholarship is to assist academically deserving students who require financial support. To meet the eligibility criteria, all applicants must satisfy each of the requirements below:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be an Indian citizen and a resident of India.
  • Must be currently enrolled as part of the class of 2027 in the first year of a 2-year full-time MBA program (or equivalent).
  • Must be studying in one of the eligible institutions listed in the official document.
  • Family gross annual income from all sources must be ₹6 lakh or below.
  • Must have a mobile number aligned with their Aadhaar number.

The IDFC FIRST Bank MBA Scholarship is meant to alleviate the financial burden for deserving students pursuing a full-time MBA. It allows students to focus on their academic and professional development without worrying about tuition and other costs. The amount for the scholarship is given during the two years of the MBA program. Selection for the scholarship will be on the basis of merit and based on financial needs. The Terms and Conditions shall apply as advised under CSR policy of the Bank.

Documents

To apply for the IDFC FIRST Bank MBA Scholarship, applicants will be required to upload certain documents for verification. These documents are intended to establish eligibility, confirm admission status, and to show financial need. All documents must be already scanned in a clear and legible manner, and must be uploaded before the application final date. Applicants may have to upload further supporting documents depending on their circumstances.

Documents applicants have to upload:

  • Admission Proof: Document that states the name of the institution, year of admission, and MBA batch
  • Fee Receipt: Copy of official payment receipt for fee from MBA program
  • Income Certificate: Income certificate issued by a government authority (Tehsildar or Magistrate)
  • IT Intimation (Section 143(1)): Only for the earning member in the family (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate: Only if the applicant is applying for disability (optional)

The applicants must ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility requirements and also have all the documents ready for application. The stages of the application process include: registration, finished application form, upload document and finalize. Incorrect or incomplete applications may be disqualified, hence, be careful.

  • Go to the official scholarship application portal (usually only Buddy4Study, or the bank's event application web page).
  • Create an account using a valid email ID and mobile phone number that is linked to your Aadhaar.
  • Complete your online scholarship application form including personal, academic and financial details.
  • Upload all required documents in the format requested.
  • Confirm you have completed the application correctly before submitting.
  • Submit application before the deadline: 30th June 2025.
