IBSAT Preparation 2025 | Smart Preparation Tips
1. Learn the IBSAT Syllabus First
A clear understanding of the four basic areas, i.e., Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, and Data Adequacy & Interpretation, should be the beginning. As there are no GK and Essay Writing in IBSAT, all your concentration should be on aptitude and language skills. Refer to previous year questions to obtain a trend analysis of topics that are asked most of the time and accord them priority in the initial phase of IBSAT preparation.
2. Focus on Verbal & RC
IBSAT preparation should be strongly verbal-oriented: almost 50% of the paper. Read editorials and daily newspapers and even lengthy essays. Simultaneously, work on grammar, vocabulary, sentence formation, and understanding. Work on 2 passages every odd day and make sure you keep practicing vocabulary with the help of flashcards/applications.
3. Quant and DI Practice With Set Targets
The total level of difficulty in Quant and DI in IBSAT is a moderate level, hence more emphasis on consistency than on shortcuts. Attempt to develop accuracy and speed while IBSAT preparation by practicing a set of 10-15 questions each day in arithmetic, algebra, and elementary modern mathematics. For DI, focus on quick interpretation of charts and tables within a time constraint.
4. Begin Mocks in the Second Month
Entering full mock sessions should never be a last-minute job. Preferably, the mock tests should start from the 5th or 6th week of IBSAT preparation. Review each mock you attempt, identify your weak areas, and start time management. These mock tests will also help build your comfort with the IBSAT interface and overall paper design.
5. Strategically Revise during the Last 3 Weeks
New subjects do not have to be initiated at this point. Rather, utilize this period for revision, short tricks, and performance evaluation for mock tests. Maintain a notebook with formulas, grammar rules, and tough problems where you committed mistakes during mocks. Concentrate on refining your high-performing areas, while decreasing the instances of careless errors on your weaker ones during IBSAT preparation.
