QS Rankings 2026 -Chandigarh University Ranks Among Global Leaders.
In the most recent QS World University Rankings 2026, Chandigarh University has once again proved its academic mettle on the global horizon and carved a special niche for itself in the form of top 2% universities across the world from nearly 28,500 universities globally. This is a testament to the commitment of the university to excellence in education and research as well as its growing international reputation.
Founded in 1990, the QS ranking system combines research data from Microsoft Academic, bibliometric data from Scopus, and results from global surveys as a benchmark of university performance in each of the selected fields. In its 2026 version, QS is once again acknowledging institutions that showcase teaching quality, research performance, and international outlook.
A powerful new feature in this year’s methodology is the International Student Diversity (ISD) metric. It does convey the diversity of a university population by measuring the proportions and lifestyles of different nationalities and ethnic groups. Success in this measure positions Chandigarh University as an internationally diverse and welcoming institution of higher education.
