As per the notice from BITS Pilani, the BITSAT 2025 examination will be conducted in multiple sessions from May 26, 2025, to May 30, 2025. Registered candidates must adhere to the BITSAT exam day procedures to avoid any unnecessary problems during the examination. This article covers all the relevant BITSAT 2025 exam day instructions, which include but are not limited to: dress code, necessary documents, and admit card requirements.

BITS Pilani has scheduled BITSAT 2025 for two sessions each day: Session 1 from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Session 2 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. There are multiple exam centres throughout India and internationally. The candidates must arrive at their respective centres well in advance to complete the verification and biometric steps. Failure to comply with the instructions set forth will exclude you from participating in the examination process.

BITSAT 2025 admit card will be a mandatory document to carry to the examination hall and will contain exam day instructions. In addition to the admit card, students must carry a current photo-identifying proof (Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or School ID) and two recent passport-size photographs. All candidates will be required to follow the dress code decided by the authorities and ensure that no smart watches, electronic devices, or additional adornments are worn by them.

BITSAT Exam Day Tips

  • Should carry your BITSAT admit card along with all the documents.
  • Bring other documents such as an Aadhar card, passport-size photos, etc.
  • Report to the allotted exam centre at the time mentioned on the admit card.
  • Know your shift:

Shift 1: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Shift 2: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

  • Entry shuts down 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the exam.
  • Wear plain light clothes – Do not wear clothes with metal components, big buttons, or deep pockets.
  • Do not wear watches, smartwatches, or accessories.
  • Sit at your allocated computer terminal only.
  • Strictly obey all instructions of the invigilators.
  • No communication or conversation with other candidates.
  • No toilet breaks unless medically necessary.
  • Any misbehavior could result in disqualification and blacklisting.

Allowed items:

  • Admit card
  • Photo ID proof
  • Passport-size photograph (optional)
  • Clear water bottle (if permitted)

Forbidden items:

  • Mobiles, Bluetooth devices, and smartwatches
  • Calculators or any electronic devices
  • Notes, study material, or books
  • Food or beverages (unless medically required)

Don’t forget or misplace your admit card

Arrive at the center at least 1 hour early

Wear simple, comfortable clothes without metal items

Don’t wear smartwatches, jewelry, or clothing with pockets/zippers

Sit at your assigned computer only

Don’t try to change your seat or system

Follow all invigilator instructions

Don’t talk, whisper, or communicate with other candidates

Use the restroom before entering the exam hall

Don’t request bathroom breaks during the test (unless necessary)

Carry a passport-size photo (optional but recommended)

Don’t bring notes, books, calculators, or rough paper

Bring a transparent water bottle if needed

Don’t bring food or beverages unless for medical reasons

Stay calm and focused throughout the test

Don’t engage in cheating or any form of misconduct

BITSAT Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • Not bringing admit card and photo ID
  • Reporting late to the exam center
  • Dressing or accessory that goes against the dress code
  • Not paying attention to exam shift time and center information
  • Not reading and adhering to instructions on the admit card
  • Carrying disallowed items such as phone, calculator, or books
  • Miscalculating time while writing the exam
  • Blind guessing of answers without narrowing down options
  • Not effectively utilizing the rough sheet
  • Missing meals or not taking care of health prior to the exam
  • Not attempting bonus questions when available
  • Panic during technical problems rather than reporting them
