The Vidyadhan Class 11 and 12 Scholarship Program, Haryana & Chandigarh 2025 is an educational opportunity offered by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation. This scheme intends to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from Low-Income Families in Haryana and Chandigarh who are presently studying in Class 11 or 12 in an accredited school.
The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation was formed by SD Shibulal (Co-founder and former CEO of Infosys) and Kumari Shibulal who believe in the power of education to transform the lives of disadvantaged youth. By supporting this scheme, the Foundation recognizes the difficulties that these students face during higher secondary education, and is providing financial assistance by way of ₹10,000 per year so that they can continue their higher education without financial impediments.
Also, the program has adopters and investitures from disadvantaged backgrounds, as a means of alleviating educational access barriers and to support youth from vulnerable communities in their development as leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
To ascertain that the Vidyadhan Class 11 and 12 Scholarship Program is only available for the most deserving candidates, the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation has prescribed eligibility criteria based on the selection of applicants. The program is for talented students from economically disadvantaged families from Haryana and Chandigarh.
To be eligible an applicant must:
- Be a resident of Haryana or Chandigarh.
- Have completed the Class 10/SSLC examination in the year 2025.
- Have secured at least 80% or a minimum of 8.5 CGPA in Class 10/SSLC examination.
- Be from a family whose total annual income from all sources is less than ₹2,00,000
- Complete the whole applications on or before 20 July 2025
Scholarship Benefits
The Vidyadhan Scholarship Programme, established by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation, assists meritorious students in pursuing higher secondary education by providing financial assistance to those students who require it. This financial assistance encourages students to continue their education and reduces the dropout rate associated with students from economically weaker sections.
Key Benefits for Selected Students
- Students will receive ₹10,000 per annum to assist with academic activities.
- Financial assistance is available to students for both Class 11 and Class 12 (subject to renewal conditions).
- Funds advanced to the student can be used for tuition fees, books, uniforms, or any other academic activity deemed necessary by the student.
- Funding will be continued as long as the student maintains satisfactory academic performance.
Required Documents
To support verification of the applicant's academic details and financial status, students who meet the eligibility criteria need to upload scanned copies of supporting documents during the Vidyadhan Scholarship application process. If the applicant is unable to provide documents as directed, or if documents are missing or incorrect, the applicant may not be considered eligible.

- A current passport-sized photograph (of the applicant).
- A scanned copy of the Class 10 marksheet (If the applicant does not have the original marksheet, leaking provisional marksheet is allowed).
- A scanned copy of the family income certificate (must be issued by the competent authority).
Application Process
The Vidya dhan application process is entirely online and straightforward - for eligible students in Haryana and Chandigarh who will be applying online through the Vidya dhan portal, entering various education and social background details, income details and necessary documents prior to the cut-off date.

- Click the "Apply for Scholarship" and apply online for the Haryana & Chandigarh - Class 11 & 12 Scholarship 2025
- Create a student profile by registering your email ID and mobile number
- After registration, log in and fill in the entire online application by filling in your personal details, background information, education and income details
- Upload the documentation/photo, Class 10 marksheet and income certificate
- Ensure the application is filled out in all areas and submit the application before the cut-off date of 20 July 2025
- You will receive communication by email/SMS about your application and whether you have been shortlisted, details of any testing as part of the application process, if applicable, and any further information.

Selection Criteria
The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) has adequately documented a transparent and merit-based selection process that ensures every deserving student is awarded the scholarship. The SDF will assess each applicant on both academic merit, and beyond. In addition, we will take into account the quality and completeness of the application.
Every selection process takes into account the following regulations:
- Based on the final Grade achieved in the applicant’s Class 10 school or Board Exams soon after.
- Other details in the application form (with respect to income and background).
- An email/SMS notification to shortlisted candidates.
- Confirmation to assess the shortlisted applicants through a short online test/interview.
- Selection will be based on the overall performance of the shortlisted students who attend the online test/interview, and verification of documents.
