The admission criteria for Maharana Pratap Dental College are as follows:
Academic Qualifications: Candidates must have passed their Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as mandatory subjects. They should have obtained the minimum required percentage in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology taken together.
PwBD Relaxation: As per the regulations set by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and Dental Council of India (DCI), for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates, the minimum marks in PCB taken together shall be 40% instead of 50%.
Exclusions for Open School and Private Candidates: Candidates who have passed their Class 12 from an Open School or as private candidates will not be eligible to appear for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). However, it is important to note that this requirement has been a matter of challenge before the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi, Hon’ble High Court of Allahabad, Lucknow Bench, and Hon’ble High Court of Madhya Pradesh at Jabalpur.
Age Limit: The lower age limit for admission to Maharana Pratap Dental College is 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission. This means that candidates must be born on or before 31st December 2006 to meet the age requirement.
