BPUT established in the year 2002 in a very short span of time has become one of the popular University in the state of Orissa. Its popularity is the reason today there is 110 colleges affiliated to BPUT (both constituent and affiliated) and around 58, 000 students are enrolled in these colleges under different programmes.
Biju Patnaik University of Technology is approved of University Grant Commission, AOA and AICTE. The BPUT is a state technical university which is since its establishment is offering various courses under its undergraduate, postgraduate, and research programmes. At present the courses are offered in the streams of Engineering, Business Management, Architecture, Hotel Management, Computer Studies and Pharmacy.
BPUT Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria of the courses offered by BPUT depends on the particular course opted by the student. However, depending upon the programme the basic eligibility criteria remains same.

Eligibility criteria for admission in Undergraduate courses at BPUT
Candidate aspiring to take admission in any of the undergraduate course at BPUT needs to have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board. The candidate must have an aggregate of 50% marks or equivalent in the board exam.
Application process for undergraduate course is completely online and candidate needs to visit the official website to apply for a particular course.
Allotment of the seats are completely based on merit list prepared on basis of the marks scored in last qualifying exam or the selection exam.

Candidate already qualified or is in final year of 10+2 with Science discipline of CBSE, Odisha or equivalent recognized board and must have Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects. Along with the mandatory subject candidate should also have at least one of the subjects from Mathematics, Biology, Biotechnology or vocational courses. Candidates in the last qualifying exam should have scored minimum of 45% marks if applying through general category. Candidates applying through reserved category should have scored 40% marks or equivalent from a recognized board with combining all the mentioned subjects. |

Reasons why I chose this College. 3/5
My college management is very good they are cooperative to students for any purpose or any issues such as study issue faculty issue exam regarded issue fee payment issue if it’s late to pay the due ,they are helpful and friendly to all students it manages all events social or techical very well and no students have any complaints or any harassment regarding management.

Studying directly from the university is always a great decision for a student and this university is known for its technical education although it provides many more courses in 2016 when I completed my UG from this university I have taken admission back that is how much I like this university.

I am right now doing my PG in Mechanical Design from this university this is my 6th year in this university because I have also done my UG in Mechanical from this university and that shows how much I like this university. As far as the fee is a concern so that is rs 30,000 PA.
