Admission Procedure and Eligibility Criteria

The admission procedure and eligibility criteria are different for different courses. The courses offered by this institution are Master’s in Management Studies (MMS), Master’s in Marketing Management (MMM), Master’s in Financial Management (MFM), Master’s in Human Resource Development Management (MHRDM), Master’s in Information Management (MIM) and PhD program in Management. Out of which, MMS is a full-time program and the rest of the programs are part-time master’s degrees. The number of seats per program is mentioned below,

MMS is a full-time program that helps students to grow into successful managers. It is a 2-year full-time degree. The eligibility criteria for MMS is explained below,

  • The candidate should have been graduated with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for reserved categories) in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities
  • Candidates in the final year of graduation can also apply
  • The part-time programs help the aspirants to pursue advanced learning in their chosen fields. These are 3-year part-time programs affiliated to the University of Mumbai. The eligibility criteria for the master’s in part-time programs like MMM, MIM, MFM, and MHRDM are,
  • Candidates should hold a graduation degree securing at least 50% of marks in aggregate (45% for reserved categories)
  • The candidates should have acquired 2years of experience at the supervisory/execution level

Talking about the PhD program, this program is pursued after the Master’s. This program enables students to conduct the research work under the research guides. PET examination is conducted by the university, the eligible candidates must take the PET exam and clear the same.

The admission procedure for Master’s in Management Studies:

  • The Directorate of Technical Education Maharashtra State (DTE) defines the admission procedure to for the admission to MMS program every year
  • The admission to MMS program is through the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) conducted by the Government of Maharashtra
  • Candidates are required to secure minimum qualification marks in the CET

The application procedure for MMM, MIM, and MFM is explained below:

  • The selection procedure consists of a written test, group discussion, and personal interview. Everything will be conducted on the same day
  • Candidates should visit the official website and download the application form on or before the due date
  • They should fill in the application form with the correct required personal and educational details
  • They need to make the payment Rs. 1200 as an application fee
  • They are required to attach the following documents along with the application form
  • Age proof
  • Caste certificate (if required)
  • Certificates related to educational qualification
  • Proof of minimum 2 years of experience

The candidate can directly go to the institute and get an information brochure. The application form along with the required qualification certificates (as mentioned in the brochure) is to be submitted to the JBIMS (Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies) office in person. 

There is another course offered by the institute called Master’s in Financial Services Management (MFSM).

  • Candidates can download the application form from the official website
  • Candidate should attach the true copy of bachelor’s degree
  • Candidate should have registered for the MHT CET online
  • Must fill in the correct details
  • A passport sized photograph and signature are to be submitted in JPEG format
  • Candidates would be selected based on MHT CET conducted by the Government of Maharashtra
  • It consists of two question papers, each paper is of 100 marks, one and half hours is given and there is no negative marking

I have passed out MHCET Entrance examination and the classes were regular there and the education is best here and in the year 2015 I have passed out and the subject was finance.
