It was in the year 2002 when the foundation of Uttaranchal University was laid in the city of Dehradun, and since then the institute is offering various higher education courses to a large number of students. The University has approval by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) along with University Grants Commission (UGC) and Bar Council India (BCI). In recent years the institute in order of further growth has merged to a number of professional colleges like Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal Institute of Technology and Uttaranchal Institute of Management. At present Uttaranchal University courses includes graduation and post-graduation degrees in the stream of LAW, Engineering, Information Technology, Applied Science and Business Management.

Uttaranchal University Admission Key Highlight:

• Admission process starts in the month of June for almost all the courses and continues till August.
• The seats are allotted on the basis of merit in last qualifying examination.
• Admission in B.Tech courses is however done on basis of rank scored in the JEE Mains.
• For admission in all other courses the university conducts its own entrance examination by the name of Uttaranchal University Entrance Exam (UUEE) and candidate needs to appear for the respective subject of examination.

Uttaranchal University Application Fees:

• Application Fee for candidates applying Offline is Rs. 1200 and should be paid through a Demand Draft.
• For candidates paying the application fee online, there is an additional charge of Rs. 50 as processing fee.
• The application fee is non-refundable.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have qualified 10+2 board or equivalent from a recognized board.
• The minimum required percentage to apply for the undergraduate courses in 45%.
• For admission in B.A, BHM, BCA, BBA, B.com, B.A, B.Optometry and LLB courses candidate must have to appear for UUEE and further admission will be given on basis of merit in the examination.
• For admission in B.Tech Courses, the candidate must have a valid degree in JEE Main.

Uttaranchal University Postgraduate Courses Admission:

The University offers 2-year postgraduate degree programme in the fields of engineering, management studies, science and law as mentioned below:

Eligibility Criteria:

• Applicants must have qualified a graduation degree in the respective subject before applying for the admission.
• For candidates applying in general category, the required percentage is 50% and for the reserved category, the percentage is 45%.
• Except for the MBA, to apply for the other courses candidate must have to appear and qualify UUEE followed by the personal interview.
• For admission in MBA courses candidate needs to have a valid score in CAT/MAT/XAT/CMAT.
• Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for admission.

Uttaranchal University Diploma Courses Admission:

• Minimum required percentage is 45% in 10+2.
• For admission in D.pharma is marks scored in UUEE will be considered.
• However, preference will be given to those candidates who have qualified Joint Engineering Examination Polytechnic (JEEP) or any other eligibility tests.
