Applications for the 2025 session are no longer being accepted by MAKAUT. Its three internal entrance exams, PGET, CET, and JEMAT, have registration periods that begin in May and end the first week of June. The exam is scheduled for June 15, 2025. Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology was established in 2001 under the name West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). The university has received clearance from the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Candidates after the announcement of JEMAT results need to participate in the counselling rounds. Students are offered admission in the MBA programme offered by MAKAUT and its affiliated colleges based on their JEMAT score. Below are the documents required during the counselling for verification:
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheet/ certificate
- Graduation marksheet/ certificate
- Caste Certificate (if required)
- Domicile Certificate
- JEMAT admit card
- JEMAT scorecard
MAKAUT CET 2025: Steps for Choice-Filling
MAKAUT CET is concluded. Students must be ready with their college and course preferences. MAKAUT CET 2025 Counselling usually begins in July. Follow the steps given below for choice-filling:
Step 1: Visit the official website of MAKAUT, makautwb.ac.in
Step 2: Click on the counselling registration link.
Step 3: Click on ‘Add New’ choice button and select course and college.
Step 4: Click on the ‘Add’ button on the extreme right-hand side.
Step 5: Follow Step 2 for adding another preference of course and college
Step 6: For saving the preferences, tick the check box and then click on the ‘Save Choice’ button.
MAKAUT has various centres and facilities available at the campus for students. The campus has MAKAUT WB Centres, Library, Sports, Cultural Activities, NSS, EKTA Incubation Centre, Centre for Genetic Studies and University Nodal Centres for students. The university also conducts cultural events and activities for students.
