The last day for applicants who cleared the JEE Main 2025 and JEE Advanced 2025 to register and complete their JoSAA option filling window is today June 12. Applicants who have not yet enrolled in JoSAA counseling must select the academic programs they wish to pursue and rank them according to their preferred program or institution on the official website, josaa.nic.in. Applicants must reserve their desired program or institution by 5 p.m. today.
JoSAA 2025 Counselling: Steps for Choice Filling Process
Here are the steps for JoSAA 2025 counselling registration and choice filling process:
Step 1: Go to josaa.nic.in, the official website.
Step 2: Click the link for "JoSAA 2025 counselling registration".
Step 3: Enter your application number and password for JEE Main or JEE Advanced to log in.
Step 4: Click the choice filling link after logging in, then confirm using the OTP that was issued to the registered mobile number.
Step 5: Check the list of options and the total number of choices available. You can also use the search bar to narrow down the list of institutes and courses.
Step 6: Use the available commands (remove, up, and down) to add or delete options based on your preferences.
Step 7: Before the decision locking deadline, rearrange and change your selections as many times as necessary.
Step 8: Save and lock your selections after they are complete.
Step 9: For future use, print the completed list of your locked choices.
After the announcement of round 1 JoSAA seat allotment, the candidates who are allotted seats can report online for admission. The applicants will have to do the counselling fee payment and upload the required documents.

Candidates must “lock” their choices before the deadline on June 12. If candidates do not lock their choices, last saved choices will be locked automatically upon reaching the deadline. Locked choices filled by a candidate cannot be edited. If a candidate wishes to edit their choices after locking, they can do so by first submitting a request to unlock in the JoSAA portal.
