IIM Kozhikode, Kochi has introduced a 4 year, full-time BMS program with research honors. The institute will begin the undergraduate admissions process in June 2025 with classes expected to begin in late August or early September 2025.
Candidates who meet the criteria can apply for the bachelor's program at iimk.ac.in, IIM Kozhikode's official website."The management institute's first-ever UG course aimed to prepare a new generation of responsible, globally minded, and innovation-driven leaders," the statement said.
Debashis Chatterjee, director of IIM Kozhikode, said: “This undergraduate programme is a game-changer—not just for IIM Kozhikode, but for Indian higher education. It introduces management thinking to young minds at the right age, empowers them with interdisciplinary tools, and shapes responsible, culturally aware leaders of tomorrow. At a time when the world needs agile thinkers and grounded dreamers, this initiative bridges the gap between curiosity and capability, between aspiration and action.”
The fact that students can choose stackable minors in subjects like economics and public policy, artificial intelligence and machine learning, psychology and behavioral sciences, finance and big data, liberal studies, and many more in addition to a management major is remarkable.
IIM Kozhikode’s BMS Programme
Students who choose to enroll in the management institute's undergraduate program will have a variety of entry-exit options that are in line with the New Education Policy (NEP).
The Management Institute's 4 year BMS program will include 8 semesters of honors and research. The institute stated that students will have access to a "state-of-the-art futuristic curriculum blending contemporary and classical subjects," research opportunities, internships, and an exchange semester.
Additionally, it stated that the course will incorporate career guidance from IIM Kozhikode's professional career cell, Corporate Access Readiness and Engagement (CARE).
Graduates of the 4 year program will have access to opportunities in a variety of fields that require a combination of strategic thinking, understanding of culture, and technology fluency.
Additionally, graduates of the BMS program will be qualified for jobs in a variety of industries, including marketing, finance, human resources, strategic roles in multinational corporations and multicultural teams, leadership positions in the founder's office and in the civil service and public policy, entrepreneurship and innovation-led ventures, higher education and research, PhDs, cross-functional roles, and many more.
