The selection process of CDS consists of written examination followed by the SSB Interview. For OTA, the exam comprises two sections: English and General Knowledge, also with a two-hour duration for each. The total marks for the IMA, INA, and AFA exams are 300, while the OTA exam is scored out of 200 marks.

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC Online Application Portal at upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Account Creation’ link to register yourself.
Step 3: Enter your email ID and mobile number, then verify both using the OTPs sent.
Step 4: Log in using your email ID and OTP/password, mobile number and OTP/password, or OTR ID and OTP/password.
Step 5: Begin filling out the CDS 2 application form, which has two parts:
- Enter personal, academic, and contact details.
- Pay the application fee.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and valid photo ID proof.
- Select your preferred exam centre.
Step 6: Carefully review all the information entered and make edits if needed.
Step 7: Submit the completed application form.
