The selection process of CDS consists of written examination followed by the SSB Interview. The total marks for the IMA, INA, and AFA exams are 300, while the OTA exam is scored out of 200 marks.

Step 1: Visit the official UPSC Online Application Portal at upsconline.nic.in.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Account Creation’ link to register yourself.
Step 3: Enter your email ID and mobile number, then verify both using the OTPs sent.
Step 4: Log in using your email ID and OTP/password, mobile number and OTP/password, or OTR ID and OTP/password.
Step 5: Begin filling out the CDS 2 application form, which has two parts:
- Enter personal, academic, and contact details.
- Pay the application fee.
- Upload scanned photograph, signature, and valid photo ID proof.
- Select your preferred exam centre.
Step 6: Carefully review all the information entered and make edits if needed.
