The CSSS online application procedure for college and university students has begun, according to NSP. On the National Scholarship Portal, you may find the scholarship for the academic year 2025–2026 as well as the first, second, third, and fourth renewals for the years 2024, 2023, 2022, and 2021. Students must go to scholarships.gov.in to apply for the scholarship again or renew their existing application.
The Ministry of Education's Department of Higher Education oversees the NSP and July 31 is the deadline for submitting the online application for a new or renewed scholarship. It is recommended that all candidates apply online by the deadline specified in the notification. In order to avoid their application being deemed invalid, candidates must also confirm their online applications with the relevant organizations and present the original necessary documents.
Students will need to register themselves with a Captcha code, password, and time registration number (OTR). The OTR method will automatically retrieve student information, such as demographics and photos. Students would need to update their Aadhaar cards if anything changes. The student's OTR profile will be updated with the new eKYC to reflect these modifications. The information in the NSP OTR will automatically update and appear in the NSP application form.
- Students will have to register their mobile number and mention the OTP received on the registered mobile number.
- Any wrong or false information can result in rejection of the scholarships.
- Students, parents or legal guardians are advised to submit their active mobile number and e-mail address in the OTR registration form.
All correspondence and communication from the authority will be done on the submitted mobile/email only. All the respective modal officers of the institutes are requested by the NPS officials for a timely verification (defection or rejection) of the online applications at their institute login.
