About the Internship

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical research analyst intern to join our team. This role provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in market research, financial analysis, and investment evaluation within the dynamic Indian market. The ideal candidate will have strong financial statement analysis skills and a keen interest in economic trends, investment strategies, and business research. Knowledge of Python for data analysis is a plus.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:

1. Conduct on-the-ground primary research to collect market data and industry insights.
2. Gather, analyze, and interpret data from various sources, including financial statements, market reports, and economic indicators.
3. Draft comprehensive and concise research reports summarizing market trends and investment opportunities.
4. Assist in the preparation of presentations and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
5. Communicate and coordinate with financial institutions, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather insights and relevant data.
6. Build and maintain relationships with key contacts to facilitate collaboration and information exchange.
7. Support the founder in preparing sales materials and presentations.
8. Perform a detailed analysis of potential investment opportunities in the Indian market.
9. Evaluate the financial health, market position, and growth prospects of target companies.
10. Contribute to the development of investment strategies and recommendations.
11. Monitor and analyze market trends, economic developments, and industry news to identify potential investment risks and opportunities.
12. Provide regular updates on significant market movements and their potential impact on the investment portfolio.
13. Assist in various administrative tasks as needed to support the team’s operations.

Skills:
1. Pursuing or recently completed a degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
2. Strong analytical and research skills with exceptional attention to detail.
3. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and financial analysis tools.
4. Ability to analyze financial statements and interpret key market indicators effectively.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for research documentation and stakeholder engagement.
6. Familiarity with financial modeling, valuation techniques, and investment research methodologies.
7. Ability to code in Python for financial analysis and data interpretation (nice to have).
8. Strategic thinking skills to contribute to investment recommendations and business strategies.
9. Exceptional spoken and written English skills for clear and professional communication.
10. Highly proactive and responsive with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.
