About the Internship
Are you passionate about making a difference in women and children's health? Pratirakshak Women And Child Development Foundation is seeking a dynamic Medicine Intern to join our team!Selected intern’s key responsibilities include:
1. Assist in delivering medical care to women and children in underserved communities, working alongside healthcare professionals to support treatment and improve access.
2. Conduct health assessments and screenings—such as blood pressure, blood sugar, and nutritional checks—to identify health needs and refer patients appropriately.
3. Administer medications and basic treatments under supervision, ensuring adherence to dosage protocols and safety standards.
4. Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and community health workers to develop and follow treatment plans tailored to community health requirements.
5. Educate patients on preventive healthcare practices—such as hygiene, nutrition, maternal-child care, and vaccination—to promote long-term well-being.
6. Participate in community outreach and health awareness campaigns, including basic life support (BLS) and CPR awareness sessions, empowering residents with emergency-response knowledge.
7. Stay updated on current medical practices and research, integrating evidence-based approaches into fieldwork and patient education.
