Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering was established in 1990 and the founder was Alhaj. Dr. S. M. Shaik Nurddin. The college is located at Avadi (Chennai), Tamil Nadu and is affiliated to Anna University. The main aim is to impart technical and medical education to the aspiring candidates and to eradicate illiteracy by equipping the youth with knowledge and training. The trust that promotes education is the building block of success.
The College offers Undergraduate as well as Post graduate courses. The B.E. courses are offered in six specializations. The courses for undergraduate in engineering are,
- Civil Engineering
- Computer Science and Engineering
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Electronics and Communication Engineering
- Information Technology
- Electrical and Electronics Engineering
And the courses for Post graduate is,
- Master of Computer Application
Admission Procedure
The Admission Procedure involves filling of an application form online. Candidates seeking admission in B.E./B.Tech./MCA are required to visit the official website and fill out the same application form. However, there are different eligibility criteria for different courses. There are various parameters on which a candidate is selected. As per the prescription forwarded by Government of Tamil Nadu, Candidates appearing for undergraduate (B.Tech./B.E.),
- Should have completed higher secondary (10+2) with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
- Should have given any examination of any university which is accepted by Anna University.
The admission to B.E. in this college is done through TNEA which is conducted by Anna University(Chennai). It is a state level counseling which takes place in order to rank the students.
Candidates appearing for Post graduate (MCA) are selected on the basis of their graduation merit. The candidates,
- Should hold a bachelor degree of minimum 3 years in any discipline with minimum 50% marks (45% in the case of reserved categories). And should have completed 10+2 level with Mathematics.

Application Process for UG
Following are the steps to the application process.
For B.E.,
- The candidates have to visit the official website of TNEA i.e. tnea.ac.in.
- Filling of an application form requires
- Seniors Secondary and Higher Secondary mark sheet
- Higher secondary Admit card
- Migration certificate from last institute studied at
- In case of Reserved category, a permanent community certificate
- Relevant certificate for differently abled person and sports person
- The candidate will be charged with the application fee
- For online mode the charges are INR 500 (UR) and INR 250(RC)
- For offline mode the charges are INR 700(UR) and INR 450(RC)
After filling up the application form, it is supposed to be sent to The Secretary of Tamil Nadu Engineering admissions, Chennai. After going through the above mentioned procedure, the candidates have to sit for counseling which will call the students on the basis of merit list. Allotment of the college will be done by the choice of students.
Candidates also have to show all their documents during the time of counseling and they have to make the payment of INR 5000 (in case of unreserved category) and INR 1000 (in case of reserved category).
Application process for PG
Following are the steps to the application process.
- Applicants can fill up their application form by visiting the official website of Anna university i.e. annauniv.edu.
- Applicants have to make the payment online. The charges are INR 500 (in case of unreserved category) and INR 250 (in case of reserved category).
- After the result is declared, candidates have to register again at Anna University official website.
- After going through the above mentioned procedure, the candidates have to sit for counseling. For which the candidates have to make the payment of INR 5300 (UR) and INR 1150 (RC). It is to be paid by cash or through DD.
