About the Job
We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven Business Development Executive to join our Sales team. This role is focused on generating high-quality leads, nurturing partnerships, and driving business growth across travel agents, corporate clients, educational institutions, and affinity partners.The ideal candidate will have a strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and experience in travel, tours, or related B2B sales environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Outreach-
1. Proactively generate new business leads through research, networking, cold calling, email campaigns, social selling, WhatsApp outreach, and professional forums.
2. Build, maintain, and update a comprehensive pipeline of prospects (travel agents, corporate clients, institutions).
3. Qualify leads and set appointments for senior leadership.
Partnership Development-
1. Identify potential partners (travel agencies, corporates, educational institutions, tour promoters) and develop engagement strategies.
2. Schedule, manage, and follow up on meetings with potential partners to secure collaborations and tie-ups.
3. Articulate Ruby Vacation’s value proposition clearly and persuasively.
Sales Conversion
4. Convert prospects into active partners using consultative selling skills.
5. Negotiate collaboration terms, commissions, and commercial arrangements.
6. Close deals and hand over requirements to internal operations teams for seamless execution.
CRM & Reporting
1. Maintain accurate records in CRM (leads, engagement history, follow-ups, pipeline status).
2. Prepare and deliver weekly/monthly reports on lead generation, pipeline, conversions, and revenue impact.
3. Provide market feedback to refine service offerings and sales messaging.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
4. Work closely with Marketing and Operations to support campaign rollouts, co-branded promotions, and partner enablement.
5. Represent Ruby Vacation at industry events, meetings, and partnership forums.
Preferred:
1. Experience in travel technology, travel agencies, or DMC partnerships.
2. Understanding of wholesale pricing, group tours, and travel operations.
3. Exposure to B2B marketing, lead generation tools, and email automation platforms.
4. Networking experience with corporates or educational institutions.
Performance Metrics (KPIs):
1. The performance of the Business Development Executive will be evaluated on:
2. Number of new leads generated (weekly/monthly)
3. Number of meetings scheduled with decision makers
4. Conversion rate of leads to partnerships
5. Revenue contribution/ booked business volume
6. CRM hygiene and reporting accuracy
