About the Internship
Job Summary:We are looking for a detail-oriented and creative Fresher InDesign Operator to join our publishing/production team. The candidate will be responsible for formatting, layout designing, and preparing print-ready files using Adobe InDesign. This role is ideal for candidates who have basic knowledge of page layout and typography and are eager to learn in a fast-paced publishing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Create and format book layouts using Adobe InDesign
Apply styles, formatting, and paragraph settings as per company guidelines
Work on book interiors (novels, academic books, magazines, etc.)
Insert images, tables, charts, and graphics properly
Ensure proper margins, alignment, pagination, and consistency
Convert Word files into properly formatted InDesign layouts
Prepare print-ready PDFs as per printing standards
Make corrections based on proofreading feedback
Coordinate with editors, designers, and production team
Maintain organized file structure and version control
Required Skills:
Basic knowledge of Adobe InDesign
Understanding of page layout, margins, and typography
Basic knowledge of MS Word
Attention to detail
Ability to follow formatting guidelines
Basic knowledge of fonts and paragraph/character styles
Willingness to learn and grow
