Remote Copywriter Job at North Coast Code

About the Job

We’re looking for a Junior SEO Copywriter to support both North Coast Code’s internal marketing initiatives and client-facing projects across the finance, banking, and corporate services sectors.

Probation period: 3 months (fixed salary: 20,000)
Salary after probation: 25,000–40,000 (based on performance)

Key responsibilities:

1. Create high-quality written website content that employs SEO best practices to reach and engage our target client base. Content may include landing pages, blog posts, provider reviews, comparison pages, FAQs, and glossary content.
2. Conduct thorough keyword, SERP, and competitor research to produce content that drives organic traffic and conversions.
3. Create and maintain a monthly content calendar, then execute the content plan on a weekly basis to ensure consistent publishing.
4. Own the full content process from content creation → optimisation → CMS upload and formatting → publishing.
5. Maintain and enhance brand voice across website copy, following best practices for headlines, intros, calls to action, meta descriptions, and the overall user experience.
6. Optimise blog content for conversions by improving CTA placement, internal linking, layout, and readability, with a strong focus on increasing user engagement.
7. Support and contribute to A/B testing of headlines, CTAs, and page elements to improve CTR and conversion rate.
8. Use AI tools productively for drafting and research, while ensuring thorough fact-checking (especially for finance topics), human-level readability and ensuring final output is original, helpful, and not “AI-fluff”
9. Refresh and improve existing content to maintain SEO health and strengthen rankings.
10. Collaborate closely with marketing specialists to track SEO performance and identify content needs.
11. Work with cross-functional teams, including designers and developers to ensure content supports UX, structure, and brand consistency.
12. Monitor performance using analytics and SEO tools, and produce a monthly performance report covering traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions, and improvement opportunities.
