🎯 Role Purpose (Very Important)
The Junior Accountant will support the finance team in day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accurate data entry, proper ledger maintenance, and compliance with accounting and tax requirements.
This role requires discipline, attention to detail, and consistency. Your job is not just data entry—it is to ensure that financial records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
🧠 Core Responsibilities
1️⃣ Accounting Entries & Record Maintenance
Record daily financial transactions including invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries
Perform regular data entry in Tally with accuracy and timeliness
Create and maintain ledgers, groups, and vouchers in Tally
Ensure proper documentation and filing of accounting records
2️⃣ GST, TDS & Statutory Support
Assist in GST data preparation, reconciliation, and filings
Support TDS calculations, deductions, and returns
Maintain proper tax-related records and working sheets
Ensure compliance with basic accounting and tax regulations
3️⃣ Accounts Payable & Receivable Support
Assist in processing vendor bills and customer invoices
Track outstanding payments and follow up for closures
Reconcile vendor and customer accounts periodically
Support payment processing and receipt entries
4️⃣ Reconciliation & Reporting Support
Assist in bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
Support preparation of basic financial reports and summaries
Ensure transactions are recorded accurately for reporting purposes
Provide data support during audits and internal reviews
5️⃣ Process Discipline & Documentation
Follow established accounting SOPs and internal controls
Maintain organized files, vouchers, and digital records
Assist in identifying gaps and improving accounting processes
Coordinate with internal teams for smooth financial operations

🎓 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce / Accounting
1+ year of experience in a junior accounting role
Mandatory: Hands-on experience in Tally
Working knowledge of GST, TDS, ledger creation, and basic accounting
Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
