About the Internship
We are looking for fast and reliable Telugu, Marwadi and Rajasthani-Hindi language associates who can work on medical speech datasets. The work involves listening to medical audio in these languages, writing accurate transcriptions, and translating them into English. You will also help generate or validate the medical text + audio samples for training and evaluation.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Telugu/Marwadi/Rajasthani–Hindi medical audio transcription:
1. Listen carefully to medical conversations and symptom statements.
2. Transcribe audio accurately in the respective language (Devanagari or Telugu).
3. Ensure correct spelling, punctuation, and clear readability.
B. English language translation:
1. Translate transcripts into clear and medically accurate English.
2. Preserve original meaning, symptom chronology, duration, severity, and negations.
C. Medical text & audio generation support:
1. Assist in generating clinically realistic medical sentences in the required language.
2. Support creation and validation of audio recordings (if required) in alignment with provided scripts and formats.
D. Documentation & dataset management:
1. Enter transcripts and translations into Excel sheets using the defined template.
2. Maintain dataset hygiene, including file naming, IDs, timestamps, speaker tags, and notes.
3. Use Google Docs, Word, and Sheets to manage guidelines, examples, and QA notes.
E. Quality checks & speed targets:
1. Work efficiently while maintaining high accuracy.
2. Flag unclear audio, mixed language, slang, or uncertain medical terms for review.
3. Follow dataset annotation rules and ensure consistency across deliverables.
