About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Develop and maintain backend APIs using Node.js and Express.js to power language-learning features such as quizzes, answer validation, and user progress tracking.
2. Integrate Python-based NLP services (using NLTK) with the MERN backend for tasks like text processing, grammar checking, and semantic similarity evaluation.
3. Design and manage MongoDB schemas for storing user progress, streaks, XP systems, and learning analytics.
4. Implement intelligent answer-checking logic with support for fuzzy matching and multiple correct responses.
5. Collaborate with the frontend (React) team to ensure smooth API integration and real-time feedback for users.
6. Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code; assist in debugging, testing, and optimising backend performance.
7. Support deployment and monitoring of backend services in a cloud environment.
