About the Internship
Hugsy is a couples app focused on helping partners feel closer through small, thoughtful interactions. We’re looking for a founding intern who’s curious, hands-on, and excited to build and grow a product from the ground up. This is a generalist role. You’ll work across product, research, growth, and marketing, and get real ownership instead of just “assisting”. This is especially good for: If you're a college student and want to work at an early-stage startup and learn how to scale to first 10,000 users.Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Research competitors, trends, and opportunities in the couples/social/consumer apps space
2. Help define product features, flows, and improvements alongside design and engineering
3. Plan and track product launches and experiments (features, onboarding, engagement, etc.)
4. Think through growth ideas – activation, retention, referrals, content, and small viral loops
5. Work on marketing and product storytelling (copy, positioning, launch ideas)
6. Analyze basic metrics and learn how product decisions are made using data
7. Bring fresh ideas and challenge assumptions – this role is not about just following instructions
