About the Internship
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Engage authentically in mental health communities on Reddit (r/anxiety, r/depression, r/mentalhealth) by posting helpful comments and participating in discussions (2-3 hours daily)
2. Join and actively participate in mental health Discord servers and Facebook groups to build genuine relationships with community members (1 hour daily)
3. Reach out to therapists, counselors, and mental health professionals on LinkedIn for potential partnerships and referrals (30-45 minutes daily)
4. Conduct user interviews with people who download the app to understand their experience, what's working, and why some users drop off (2-3 calls weekly, 20 minutes each)
5. Track and update daily metrics in Google Sheets including: downloads, daily active users, task completion rates, community engagement stats, and user feedback themes
6. Create content that demonstrates our clinical approach - such as explaining how task-based therapy differs from meditation apps, showing task progression examples, and sharing user insights
7. Participate in daily 15-minute check-in calls with the founder to align on priorities and share learnings
8. Prepare weekly summary reports showing what channels are working, user feedback highlights, and recommendations for next steps
Note: This role requires empathy, patience, and understanding that mental health conversations need genuine care - not promotional spam. You'll spend weeks building trust in communities before ever mentioning our product.
