About the Internship
The MSME business development intern will be responsible for reaching out to micro, small & medium enterprises (MSMEs) across assigned territories and introducing them to our payment solutions. This role involves lead generation, consultative selling, relationship management, and onboarding support. This is a performance-driven internship with strong learning exposure and potential full-time conversion.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
A. Lead generation & outreach:
1. Identify and approach MSMEs within assigned geography
2. Conduct cold calls, and follow-ups
3. Build and manage a qualified sales pipeline
B. Product presentation & consultative selling:
1. Understand client requirements and payment challenges
2. Present tailored payment solutions
3. Explain product features, onboarding process, and commercial terms
C. Relationship management:
1. Build strong relationships with business owners and key decision-makers
2. Address objections and resolve queries full-time
D. Deal closure & onboarding:
1. Ensure timely follow-ups for conversion
2. Support documentation and onboarding processes
3. Coordinate with internal teams for smooth activation
E. Market intelligence :
1. Share feedback on customer concerns and competitor offerings
2. Provide insights to improve product positioning
