About the Internship
We are building a next-generation social commerce platform that allows businesses and creators to sell products directly inside Instagram DMs using automation. Our product enables comment-to-DM automation, in-chat product selection, and seamless payments - creating a complete e-commerce experience without users leaving Instagram. This is a real product startup role, not a dummy internship. You will work directly on a production-level system used by real businesses.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:
A. Build Instagram Automation:
1. Implement comment-to-DM automation using official Instagram APIs
2. Handle webhooks for comments, DMs, and events
3. Design message flows (opt-in → product → payment)
B. Backend Development:
1. Develop APIs using Node.js (Express)/Python (FastAPI)
2. Design and manage databases (PostgreSQL/MongoDB)
3. Implement queue systems for automation (Redis/BullMQ or similar)
C. Payment Integration:
1. Integrate payment links (Razorpay/Stripe/PayU)
2. Handle payment confirmation via webhooks
D. Automation Logic:
1. Create rule-based flows (keywords, post-based triggers)
2. Manage user states and conversation context
E. Dashboard & Admin Tools (Basic):
1. Build backend logic for admin dashboards
2. Enable human handover from bot to agent
F. Security & Reliability:
1. Handle API rate limits
2. Ensure webhook verification and error handling
3. Follow best practices for token and data security.
