About the Internship
You’ll spend most of your time building and maintaining backend systems and data pipelines that keep our platform running smoothly. The work leans heavily on Python and AWS, with a mix of automation, event-driven architecture and scalable data processing.Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilites include:
1. Build and maintain Python-based services and scripts that power our ETL and data processing workflows.
2. Design and implement AWS Lambda functions for event-driven tasks and automation.
3. Work with DynamoDB and other AWS storage options to design clean, efficient data models.
4. Set up and manage SQS queues for reliable asynchronous processing.
5. Build and optimize streaming and batch pipelines using Firehose, Step Functions, and other AWS Glue services.
6. Write clear, well-structured code that is easy to read, debug, and scale.
7. Connect internal systems and third-party APIs to flow data into the right places at the right time.
8. Build state machines and workflow automation using Step Functions.
9. Ensure pipelines are resilient, cost-efficient, and properly monitored.
10. Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving our development standards.
11. Help with deployments and general AWS housekeeping as needed.
