About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:The intern will support the development of a structured knowledge system for AI applications, working across data processing, knowledge modeling, and retrieval systems. Responsibilities will include:
• Ingest, process, and structure diverse data sources
Work with structured and unstructured datasets (documents, schemas, APIs) to clean, normalize, and enrich data for downstream AI use cases.
• Develop and refine entity–relationship extraction pipelines
Use a combination of LLMs and programmatic methods to identify key entities, attributes, and relationships from data, and transform them into structured representations.
• Support knowledge modeling and ontology development
Assist in defining schemas, taxonomies, and relationships to create a consistent and reusable knowledge layer for AI systems.
• Build and test retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines
Implement retrieval, ranking, and context assembly using vector databases, ensuring relevant information is surfaced to AI agents during execution.
• Maintain data lineage, provenance, and traceability
Track the origin, transformation, and usage of data and knowledge artifacts to ensure outputs are explainable, auditable, and reproducible.
• Design and execute evaluation workflows
Create test cases and validation frameworks to assess the quality of extraction, retrieval, and AI-generated outputs, focusing on accuracy, relevance, and consistency.
• Collaborate with AI and platform engineers
Work closely with teams building agents and applications to ensure knowledge systems integrate effectively into end-to-end workflows.
• Document systems, pipelines, and learnings
Maintain clear documentation of data models, processing pipelines, and design decisions to support scalability and knowledge sharing.
