About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:1. Download supplier invoices from supplier portals and save copies to the local finance drive.
2. Ensure the supplier matrix is followed while obtaining invoice approvals.
3. Communicate with department heads to ensure non-PO invoices are authorised correctly and posted using the correct nominal ledger codes.
4. Post supplier purchase order invoices against goods received notes.
5. Liaise with warehouse and purchasing departments to resolve goods receipt queries.
6. Maintain and update the query spreadsheet to track required actions.
7. Review the aged creditor analysis weekly to ensure supplier accounts are up to date, including requesting copy invoices, matching direct debits, and requesting payments for credit notes where required.
8. Post corporate card invoices accurately.
9. Ensure timely online filing on the finance drive to maintain a proper audit trail.
10. Follow appropriate controls to reduce fraud risk, including verifying supplier bank details.
11. Support ad-hoc projects as per business requirements.
