Xavier University (XUB) Details

The establishment of Xavier University, Bhubaneswar took place in the academic year of 2013. Xavier Institute of Management, which is a premium world class B School, is also affiliated to this university. The university has been approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and accredited by the National Accreditation and Assessment Council (NAAC). It is a private state university which aims to provide quality education to the students coming from different sections of the society. Xavier University houses various schools and these various schools of the university provide Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs. These programs are offered in the field of Management, Law, and Finance. The names of the schools are mentioned as following:

  • Xavier Institute of Management Bhubaneswar
  • Xavier School of Rural Management
  • Xavier School of Human Resource Management
  • Xavier School of Sustainability Management

Xavier University has also been ranked 36th by National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by Ministry of Human Resource Development. Xavier University was also ranked 14th by Eduniversal. The University strives its hard to become a globally recognized center of learning for the students willing to pursue their career in the field of Management, Law, and Science.

One of the most important aspects of Xavier University is its infrastructure. The infrastructure is spread over an area of 55 acres across two different campuses. The different two campuses across which the infrastructure is spread are Xavier Institute of Management campus and Xavier City campus. Some of the basic facilities provided by the university are explained below:

  • The Classroom Complex is comprised of lecture halls, classrooms, seminar rooms, and computer labs. The classrooms are well furnished and properly ventilated. The computer labs are well equipped with the latest technologies.
  • A hi-tech air-conditioned auditorium which can accommodate almost 850 numbers of students.
  •  The XIMB campus has a Management Development Center consisting of air-conditioned rooms. In addition to it, the center has four training cells with the latest technology.
  • Residential facilities are provided for the students coming from out of the city. Separate Boys’ and Girls’ hostel buildings. The rooms have 24-hour internet connectivity. These hostel buildings also house multi-purpose hall, a cooperative store, and a book club.
  • The Sports and Fitness facilities include almost all types of sports and well-equipped gymnasium.

 

Xavier University Courses include programs offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. The university also offers a Ph.D. program at the Doctorate level. The programs are offered under several specializations. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the university must choose the field they wish to pursue their career in. The aspirants must ensure that they fulfill the minimum eligibility criteria defined by the university. Xavier University Admission procedure can be followed by filling the application form available on the official website of the university. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs must qualify the respective entrance examination.

There are various entrance examinations conducted at both the national and state level. The candidates are primarily shortlisted based on their performance in the respective entrance examinations. In some of the cases, the candidates can be shortlisted based on their performance in the last qualifying examination.

Regarding Xavier University Placements, a decent increase in the placement trend can be seen over the past few years. The training and placement cell of the university has collaborations with many reputed national and multinational companies. The cell serves as a platform that brings various lucrative opportunities for the students. The companies mainly offer profiles in Sales and marketing, operations, IT, and consultancy. The maximum salary package offered has reached up to 13 LPA while the average package remains to be at 7 LPA.

There are various events conducted by the concerned authorities of the university. These events are organized to enhance the skills of the students. The cultural fest named ‘XAMBOORE’ is organized annually.
