Thiruvalluvar University Details

Thiruvalluvar Univesity is a public University which is situated in the Vellore city of Tamil Nadu. It was established in the year 2002 under the Thiruvalluvar University Act by the Government of Tamil Nadu. The University was named after a Tamil Poet named Thiruvalluvar and was inaugurated by the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalithaa. There are total 98 arts and science colleges affiliated to the Thiruvalluvar University.

Thiruvalluvar Univesity Research Programs:

 

The University and its affiliated colleges offer M.Phil and Ph.D research programs.

The affiliated colleges need to take a prior approval of the University for conducting the research programs.

The scholars that are willing to pursue the research program has an option to opt either full time or part time research program.

The candidate can apply for the research program at the university if the candidate has passed the Postgraduate course in the respective discipline with a minimum of 55% marks.
